They want to force this passage of hunger on us, so they did In a way that just do that.
IF you are in a coffin you will not die from blood loss.
So when you wake up, you will be in a dire need of blood which actually is kind of nice feeling!!!
Because we as players and all and all won't have a life span of thousands of years like a vampire so as a time concern this was made to just give that feeling.
I know I stirred something sensible here.
But maybe I should step back and kind eat my pride and take it back on this subject here.
When we wake up with blood we are like 1 hit we die, but in the castle will have ways to replenish this blood and get back on feet to hunt and get stronger!
Conclusion is that actually this mechanic and decision was well done regarding this passage of the lore in which a vampire when gets back from a long slumber will be weak and without blood to sustain its strength! IT was right on the spot.
Though now the discussion would be, should be necessary this in the game or not? Whatever the decision I'll be ok with it, but actually it kind feels fun this bit!
