Well you're missing out. I already got my $20 worth.. and I've only played for 10 hours simply because I HAVE to sleep and work lol. If this had released on a Friday I'd easily have 24+ hours by now. If they never did anything else with the game at all.. it was still worth $20.
Same here. Just shy of 10 hours and I wish I could play this game all day. It's insanely good, don't remember the last time I played a game this addictive. Doesn't even feel like an EA game.
That makes sense, and I am sorry you had that experience. It never is fun. :X
As for the content yep, not to push my own content. But if you want to see my experiences with the PvE content so far. I have been streaming my gameplay.
You can watch it over at /GlitchyGirl on twitch. And you'll see that except for chatting with a few folks and doing a boss or two with a few people. Most of it was done solo.
Plus you can just run stand alone sessions on your machine as well. :3
That said, I must shove off.. It's a bit late and I need to get some sleep. It was good communicating with you!
Shutdown people PCs.
Not saving games.
Low FPS.
Well polished?
I'm going to ignore the fact that spending $20 on food several times a week (or *gasp* $100 a week on groceries in one fell swoop!) isn't really relevant, since no one's going to stop feeding their kids to buy V Rising...I hope.
If someone's getting less than (let's keep your ratio) 30 hours enjoyment a month for $40 of subscriptions, then they're not going to look at the discussions page to decide whether or not to buy this game. They clearly don't value that sort of chump change anyway, true.
Those aren't the people I'm talking to. Also, this cute little scarecrow (strawman) you put together is irrelevant. Nothing you're saying disagrees with what I've said in any way.
Yes. Stunlock releases polished games. I've said as much.
Yes. If you're coming into this game expecting a couple months of fun, then you'll get your moneys worth. Literally every post I've made has reiterated that point.
No. The games 55k launch doesn't prove that they'll support it. Because if this game follows the trend of 99% of multiplayer Indie games, we'll be seeing the 5k weekly players soon enough.
My point throughout: Stunlock does not support games long term. They've chosen a monetization strategy that doubles down on getting high profits out of a game with a very short lifecycle.
You don't even own the game and your name is dedicated to hating on an indie developer. Not sure why anyone would take you seriously but whatever floats your boat.
Yup 100%.. that's exactly how I feel. Game is incredible basically as is. IF they make VAST improvements and expansions whatever that's just icing on the cake.
Sounds like there will still be game worth playing in a year, even if my assumptions prove correct, which is great to hear!
Thanks for the stimulating conversation!
Less mad, more bitter. The kinda of bitter that leads to me getting on a soapbox in the Steam discussions. So, stale dark chocolate I suppose.
Completely fair. As long as you know what you're getting into.
What I stated are facts. You can check them out on this on steam forums. I did not made up this things. I would never do this.
Have you heard about Ad hominem? if not. This might be the right time you could learn about.
Missed this post. I'm not gonna edit my last one yet again.
Abandon might be too harsh a term. There's considerable daylight between "they stopped updating!" and "they shut down the servers!". I feel like stopping updates on a multiplayer game is the same as abandoning it, but they definitely deserve credit for continuing server support for their old games. Thanks for bring that up.
The devs still haven't turned off the servers and still support it.
The 'strawman' about where people spend $20 was a reply to someone else and i think it's relevant - hopefully no one is whining about $20 to feed their kids vs $20 to feed a game, ironic you used a strawman to defend that statement. I only mentioned it more in line with people spending $20 to go out to eat, ie people spend money on unnecessary pleasure all the time.
I just fundamentally disagree they make games then abandon them. The players abandon them. That's it.
