Log to plank ratio
I am trying to understand the logic behind this . . . many games i've played recently do this.

How does 20 log = 1 plank? I mean I get it, it's a balancing act, but make the end product use more plank.

1 log should = 2-3 planks at worst.

(I used to work with trees)

It's just for game balance really. I don't really get it myself but a lot of items rely on wood planks so I presume they don't want players able to get those items quickly.

And sadly the server setting to adjust the RefinementCostModifier doesn't work at all. Tried adjusting it higher/lower, and it's stuck at the 20:1 it seems.

You're also getting like 50-100 logs out of one tree.... It's just numbers, they're not trying to be realistic about it.

It's not so much about realism, it just hurts my head. The logic behind it doesn't make sense. It's not game breaking at all, but I see other ways that could be balanced. 1:3 plank to log ratio with less logs per tree. More plank:end product ratio would balance it fairly.
