I have GeForce Now, I also have Boosteroid. It's absolutely false and this allows you to play every game in your library, you are limited to only games that are supported by these platforms, which is a short list compared to every game one might own.
Furthermore it's also false that this is the only way. Many non-DX12 games run on Mac via a multitude of options such as Parallels, CrossOver or Wine and its many user-friendly variants.
Also, on Parallels, can you clarify if you have the Macbook Pro M1, or is it an Intel Macbook Pro?
Here's a Reddit thread that confirms that it works on both CrossOver and Parallels. It seems to work better on CrossOver, although a little more effort is needed to set it up on CrossOver. The Reddit thread includes some instructions

Though it runs better on CrossOver.. if you follow the instructions above.
