How to remove plants you've planted?

I found some seeds and planted them inside my "area". Now I'm upgrading to Castle but I can't put a concrete floor down because it's blocked by these plants.

How do I remove them?

when in build menu use spacebar to remove objects.
My gues is that this should work on the seeds as well but i have not tried that out.
If it does work, then please leave a commend so others looking this up can find the solution.
