Stunlock Studios has a history of releasing a promising game, then adding cash stuff after cash stuff instead of content, and then abandoning the project.

List of previous titles that they've done this to:
- Bloodline Champions
- Dead Island Epidemic
- Battlerite
- BR Royal
- Some other game that I forgot the name of

I agree as well. BattleRite is (to-date) my most played game. Bought it before I went away for college. Stowed the game away for a year- came back and it was dead. UI was worst than the early UI they introduced. SLS tried to make BR their cash cow with BRBR. They stopped listening to the playerbase and abandoned the game with little to no news or responses. Suddenly they come out of the woodworks and tell all their previous customers of their new game? GTFO lol. It's like an uncle from Dearborn Michigan that comes out of nowhere and talks to you when he needs money for crack/meth.

It should be an instant refund for multiplayer early access games to take your money but never finish release. The early access model nowadays is such a scam and way for companies to bootstrap other projects while screwing consumers. Got burned 3 times from SLS. Never again.

The listed games above seems to be either f2p, mobas generally pure pvp games. Such games always have cash stuff in it.

Soooo I see no issue tbh with the list you provided.
The issue is not the genre, it's the way this company handles their games.

dead island epidemic got new content, I can't even remember it having cash stuff.
was fun while it lasted.

BR Royal sounds like something you made up.
And the other games have very positive reviews.

I think your point is that this companies games are short lived. Primarily thanks to a shortage in players.
They have had no shortage of players until they noticed the stagnancy in developlement. The games are good, but you have no reason to play longer than 2 weeks because they're void of any substance.

BR Royal sounds like something you made up.

Battlerite: Royale.

I agree with OP, thats one of the reasons why I hope this game would get offline mode so when the devs decide to toss this game to trash it would still be playable but if they make it be online, once the devs get bored of the game, sucks to be player

Tencent is now their main shareholder, so don't worry about their cash.

This just tells me that they're going to milk the game dry with as little actual content as humanly possible. Basically what they've been doing for a decade now, just dialed up to 11.

Tencent also tend to invest in (quite) worthy projects incidentally, meaning they probably want V Rising to become a solid AA game, instead of a mere niche game.

Like the other games Tencent is invested in that are slowly degenerating into Gacha titles with a constant decrease of population due to the vast increase in cash shop articles instead of actual content?

Like ... Fortnite and Ring of Elysium for example.

Rofl, BR aren't life nor they are easy to update with new content.

What I'm mere pointing out is with Tencent support, V Rising will certainly be able to meet devs ambitions, maybe they'll even have some higher ones.
