New game plus carry over, help with picking what i bring.
I've just finished all the content inc dlcs on HC (not the food delivery as didn't sound like my thing), and what a an amazing journey.

Now I'm ready to start on Nightmare.

I'm hoping some veterans can help me decide on what to take with me.

In terms of armor, I'm currently rocking the AIROTEK respirator and Death shroud stealth armor. I notice it has total of 35 armor and 20 padding on chest and 32 armor on helm.

The other option i was looking at was the AETHR Protection system which has only 25 armor and 30 padding paired with armor locomotion unit.

I have a few questions regarding the AETHR option.

Firstly, does the game base incoming damage on location?
Because the AETHR is helm and body, would that mean, if locational, both locations calculate on the 20 armor. Or is it combined? making the total armor of the shroud and AIROTEK class as 67 Armor when taking damage?

I mainly play stealth so this is more of a question of when stealth fails.

Second question, I'm planning of just filling my pockets with ammo and taking the brass catcher to maintain my VSS Strelok. Is there better items or weapons i could be taking to tackle Nightmare mode? As i mentioned, I'm mainly stealth.

Thank you in advanced.

For me, I would take shroud armor and dragunov as main weapon.

Secondary is the knife reward from hitman requests (shadow master DLC) and trenching tool from ravenwood DLC.

Tools will be brass catcher, garrote from slaughter house DLC and i forgot the name of the tool that enhances the AETHR armor which you'll get from finishing the slaughter house DLC. I said AETHR armor because it's your choice to transfer this but you can loot this armor on the nightmare mode as well.

Pockets shall be main ammo and you know what to add.

Who needs armor when you stealth kill? By this time, you should have leveled up your melee skills and explosives also. I'd rather choose dragunov with suppressor.

Do you have the shadow master and slaughter house DLC? I recommend you buy it.

Anyway, decide what you want because nightmare and deadzone will introduce new items.

Good luck!
