WHICH DIFFICULTY TO CHOOSE?
Hi everyone, I recently purchased the game with 2 DLCs. Yet I cant seem to decide to which difficulty I should choose: Normal or Hard.

I spent many hours on OG stalkers, fallout 1-2, and ATOM RPG(Both games)

Additional question: I wonder how much of a importance of my charachter's profession during game?

Thx in advance✌️

It's not an easy game, think of it like Stalker as far as bullet and radiation damage. Your profession can be important depending on what build you going for. I went with Army Veteran so i'm immune from crit hits FOREVER and start with rifle, smg, and gusmith skills. Your stats carry over to New Game Plus as well as your profession.

While they're thematically similar gameplay skills from the likes of Stalker or ATOM RPG don't translate into TtV all that much.

In the end it all depends on how much patience you have and how easily frustrated you get. I do think hard core is more rewarding and goes better with the tense atmosphere but you do die pretty fast, almost instantly if caught at close range.

Saving isn't actually all that restrictive on hard core because the game auto-saves every time you transition between areas and beds are pretty easy to access. You can save anytime by just resting for 1 hour at a cost of 50 energy, you don't actually have to eat when resting despite the game pushing you to do so.

Stealth is very helpful on HC too.

You're in your first game so choose normal. You can build all your stats during and later in the game. My best weapon of choice is rifle. Don't stress yourself collecting weapons and ammo. You're most strategy is stealth and silent kills on human enemies. I'm on the nightmare mode and I'm aiming for the Unscathed achievement. Good luck

I would go for normal. My 1st run was on normal and in the fact was pretty hard to get through. Now I'm playing the new game+ on nightmare and is much easier after learning the game mechanics.

About the professions, if I may you must focus your build on melee and stealth, mainly to face the early game with poor weapons. I've been playing as bulgar, which is strong on both melee and stealth.

Hard won't be too much of a problem. It's not too hard for new players to enjoy the game. I'm not used to this kind of game but hard mode was still doable and very enjoyable.

I'm gonna do dead zone next. I've finished nightmare from scratch and got the unscathed achievement. That damn fast radioactive wolf, the screaming ghoul and the jax like ground smashing scythe, I've only used rifle on them. I'll gonna try that RPG weapon soon. :steamhappy:
