Ashinaka "hand-drawn map"

Can someone help this map make sense? I know its meant to be a puzzle, but the orientation spinning after teleportation is just making the whole thing aggravating.

use your compass to find north, which is what the map is oriented to. or you can just run around like a chicken like everyone else here including myself and you’ll eventually get the gist of the teleportation puzzle.
