Slaughterhouse logic?
Hey just a quick question, I just purchased the game yesterday after finding it via SplatterCatGaming's youtube video. Its an amazing game I purchased all the DLCs. I started to check out Slaughterhouse before playing the main game as I read that it can unlock items during the normal campaign playthrough? Whats the logic behind this?

Honestly its a unique idea but I would like to play the main campaign and not feel like weapons/items are unavailable because I haven't played more of the Slaughterhouse. I admittedly only got to wave 13-14 and killed the first boss. Is there some other way to unlock the Slaughterhouse items for the main campaign without spending hours completing it?

You just unlocked a few things from killing the first boss :) you will find them sold by certain traders in the main game. Slaughterhouse is not easy. you have to use everything you know about the game to beat the wave while keeping the ghouls away from those zapper pillars which will undo your progress when the ghouls get close to them.

you should go back to the main game and play for 4-5 hours and then try slaughterhouse again. your progress there is always saved.

I am playing through the main game now. About 3 hours in, but I can't help but wonder what else I could find/buy with my roubles that I don't have access to because I don't want to play Slaughterhouse. It would be nice if there was an option to have the unlocks available without having to play a wave defense game. I bought RPG for a reason I enjoy the story, character customization. I don't really want to play the wave/crystal/statue defense.

So you want to treat the Slaughterhouse DLC as a "new weapons pack" rather than a game mode?

I understand how you feel, but I don't know how to change that without spoiling the game for other people. I mean, you can certainly use the cheat to unlock those new weapons. For example, I can add a cheat code that will just immediately make the game assume that you completed the slaughterhouse mode, and unlock those gears for the traders. Would you like that?

Yes the cheat code that would treat Slaughterhouse as if it was completed would be amazing. Honestly, I just don't love the wave defense style the combat is very fun and engaging. But completing the waves just for the sake of more options/content in the main game does not personally appeal to me. Sorry if that offends you the game really is great!

Sounds good! I'll release this cheat command in the next update. The command will be:

Press BACKSPACE to bring up the console
type:
slaughter 4

This will unlock all the gears from slaughterhouse for the traders, you just have to wait 24 hours for them to refresh. You can see the list of all the unlock gears here in the description:

What wave is the first boss? And when does the new stuff start showing up in the normal game?

When the red raven bar drops to 75%, the first boss will show up. After defeating this boss, whatever loot you get from him will be immediately available in the base game (from traders)
