Stuck at Lake Cheko

I made it to Lake Cheko, but talking to Alexei doesn't check off my journal. I also found Boris, but he doesn't have any dialogues that helps with the quest.

Please make sure you found your way to the island of the lake and find the sabotaged gas mask.

where did you find Boris by the way?

You aren’t supposed to see Boris until you finish all of the quests in lake cheko and surivive the sanatorium :)

Yeah I thought the Boris next to Okamura was the one I was looking for (he was dressed differently than the rest). I just explored the swamps until I made it to the island for the gas mask. Thanks for the response and for the game.

lol what that really Boris or Cheslav Cherkoff the travelling merchant whom you found next to Okamura?

It was some npc that you can't trade with the name Boris. He felt like the first npc I saw with the name Boris, so I automatically assumed it was him lol.

haha i see, now I’m confused cuz every npc is tradable lol. Except the story npcs. But yea there’s a chance a regular npc has a name with both first name boris and some random last name
