Good idea, bad execution.

Your opponents can block at anytime even mid strike. Even when they are leaping into the air. At any point they can seemingly cancel whatever action they are in the middle of to parry or dodge. Usually it is a perfect parry even at tutorial level. So the best performance that I got was simply swinging repeatedly until they staggered so you can hit them once or twice.

Otherwise, you time the parry perfectly and take the opening of the enemy stumbling back only to have your weapon rebound off of open air before they quickly jutter into a blocking pose and cancel their previous animation.

I may revise this when and if I pick the game back up because I cannot refund it due to the humble bundle subscription.

This game is unplayable for me. No controls work. Not even joypad that is recommended. Tried to fix it for a while and i think i know what the problem is. It doesnt know how to handle 2 monitors and it makes it unresponsive. And since its an unknown game there is not alot of info how to fix it. Therefore i cannot recommend it.
