I am looking forward to more building, and branching off at getting the PHD and moving when the wife gets a job offer. Also would love to see a timeline where the dad gets driven off early enough for the main to go to the local college.

Nah, the game feels half-finished, or no effort was put into it. There are no footsteps on the ground, the water barely has any puddle effect when you walk over it, the rain looks bad, and it completely disappears when it hits the ground.

Barely? Just to clarify, there are "puddle effects", right? Just not enough of them? Devs better fix that because i swear if there aren't enough puddle effects in the game, i will not buy. Angrily so. ✊

I just want to say... Don't raise your own expectations. This will only lead to disappointment. Demo is incredible, I agree, but be careful. Don't destroy good game on release just because you have overhyped expectations.

This right now has the potential to be one of the best games ever, but I’ll also settle for a decent one.

It was a good demo, mainly for the story - nowadays hard to find a game with good script/dialogue.

Not sure about the exploration/survival part yet, since the beginning part just let us get an idea but was boring in itself since there wasn't much to show - hopefully they are able to expand on this aspect properly.
