Dangerous Waters

Clicking options opens "Set Up Speech Recognition" in Windows 10
As I said in the title, when I click options ingame, it minimizes the game and opens up the Windows 10 speech recognition setup.

This is one of the weirdest things I have ever experienced. Any suggestions?

I found that if I just set up speech recognition then go back into the game.. you could just turn off speech when it turns on in options... can be annoying.. but just going through with the set up will stop the game from opting out and going to set up for speech recog

Dopes this for Win 7 too. Except it also says default audio device not detected even though it has audio. My mouse also doesn't show up on screen and doesn't work in the options menu itself. SUCKS

Here is THE solution to the speech recognition. 1st start the game as normal, when you are thrown back to your desktop for the speech recogntion, open back up the game before without cancelling the speech recognition, then when you are back in the options, the rewards can be brought to you by simply turning off speech recognition in the options menu, once you have configured your setting, exit the game, and cancel whats on your screen, job done... Thank me later! :)

If you don't close it, you can get back in again and do your options.
The speech recognition stuff is actually the voice command system the game supports.
Just do your settings and be done with it...

Using Voice Commands in DW is a useful feature for a more full immersion experience in single-player mode. Note: it is of some use in multiplayer mode when other players are manning the ship's stations. (This feature was first introduced in SCS's SubCommand.)
