Try doing something else for a while and then come back and take a fresh look at the puzzle.
If that doesn`t work for you, try this
Look for difference in blades. Find one? Now look for another
Thanks, I got it without the, it took a time for to understand how much each geometrical form values, I was mathing it wrongly.
the Black shapes shouldn't even be on the blades as the puzzle and the solution render them irrelevant. and either the numbers should start out on 'blank' spots, OR have the player place them into the wheel (blade) from a separate area.
but based on the default positions i am trying to figure out, if Circle + Triangle = 3, then which negative image = 3 ? do the numbers add up ?? do i solve each one individually???
watching the hint/solution made no sense because the demonstration had the player moving the numbers around too many times before even resting on their final spot. thats why i had to search the discussion, to understand the solution, and now i see... OH the Starting position of the numbers HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SOLUTION!!! Great Puzzle guys!!

Followed what the hint did, didn't work (already moved two - tree pieces), moved a piece on random and .. solved
At first (before and now) I thought the numeric values were about the shapes' sides, and the dot would be something like the number of dots more, or the number of dots less, this confused me back at the time and confused me today again because, in puzzles, we are used to knowing how much a shape worth based on its sides.
So, I'm gonna explain how the puzzle works for those who didn't get it yet...
The dots inside the black shapes defines how much that shape value. Triangle = 1; Square = 2; Pentagon = 3; Octogon = 4;
