need help :( steam deck
Hello,

My mom just got this game on steam deck, and we were hoping to play local multiplayer. We have the connector for the TV, so dock the deck and attempt to use our switch pro controllers (that are already connected via bluetooth to the steam deck).

Issue one: the game only recognizes the steam deck as player number 1. Would love to figure out how to keep the steam deck from being recognized as a player and just use controllers instead

Issue number two: Even one person using the steam deck, for some reason, player two on the switch controller keeps randomly getting booted out and disconnected. My mom was using the controllers on other games solo player and never had an issue, so I'm not really sure what to do about this

If anyone can offer some help we'd be so grateful. The steam deck was really expensive and we just keep running into roadblock after roadblock on multiplayer games

I’m having this same issue. Just spent half an hour troubleshooting to no avail. Tried playing with my kids and we kept having controllers (all Nintendo Switch Pro controllers if that matters) disconnect from the game and boot the players off. I can reorder the controllers to avoid the deck being player one though I did have it freak out and think the virtual keyboard was a player that forced me to restart to fix.

Been looking through Google searches and this was the first thing that actually had the same issue as me. Still looking for a solution so we can play. Will check out the links above.
Download decky loader, there's a ton of Decky apps that can manage controllers.
