Multiplayer Bug- Infinite lives

I m trying to play o multiplayer with lives but even though infinite lives is off when I enter a co-op level it automatically starts the levels with infinite lives which means I can't get the saviour achievement, Any ideas as to why it won't let me play co-op levels without infinite lives?

All of the teamwork levels have infinite lives. You'll have to play a normal level with a friend to get the achievement.
