There's no need to buy a PS5 or future Sony consoles
All Sony games are getting released on PC now, probably Xbox too. So the only console worth buying for unique games is the Switch if you already own a powerful PC.

Wait do you mean Switch fanboy? I actually don't own one. I own a PS4 and would have bought PS5 if there were no supply issues. But I'm kinda glad I didn't succeed in getting one because I think it's hard to justify if all the games are ending up on PC anyway.
Yeah i kinda feel bad for the people who bought a PS5..

At the beginning they were all laughing and yelling at the xbox players because they had "better exclusives".

I have nothing with xbox but i can enjoy the irony of it. :)

True. Really does raise the question about what the future of console gaming is. I know people joke about how under powered the Switch is. But it's solid library of exclusives makes it stand out when compared to other consoles. I would rather have an under powered console with good exclusives than PS5/Xbox Series console which has hardware that can't compete with PCs.

So I think when I'm ready to upgrade I'll just stick to PC hardware upgrades, graphics card will be first, and get a Switch.

PS. This is why I think Sony was mad for shutting down Japan studios, they should have done the opposite and expanded their library of exclusives.

I own PS1, 2, 3, 4+VR. My favourite of these consoles is PS3, PS4 felt like it was a turn in the wrong direction. XMB was great on PS3 but I could never get used to PS4 GUI, and PS4 didn't feel like a unique console, seems generic and a similar experience could have been had if I'd gotten an XBox or just stuck to PC.

Why would I buy a switch if I can just emulate it? Let's not forget performance, the way switch runs games is disgusting

That's a valid point. I have heard that Steamdeck runs games better than Switch, eg. higher frame rate. I dunno man, now with all of the computer horse power around I feel that gameplay has taken a backseat. Most of the games needing the extra grunt would probably not be Switch exclusives anyway. There's a lot of chatter about a "Switch Pro" maybe it won't be called that but there seems to be some kind of hardware update in the works.

No reason to feel bad for us PS5 owners, we still have a fantastic console that is well worth the cost. Exclusives coming to PC later is not a big deal, and actually something I applaud. But still prefer to play on console as it is just more enjoyable. PC gaming is just becoming too much of a pain in the ass to bother with.

I prefer PC gaming nowadays and love that the Sony exclusives are coming to PC but you won't get a comparable PC for the cost of a PS5 or XBX.

I agree, tbh. All Sony exclusives will come to PC eventually.

dude, not everyone can afford a gaming pc. being able to buy into playstation/xbox/switch guarantees you to be able to play games for like 6-7 years relatively cheap (if there wans all these scalpers). Most people dont even care about exclusives and just play fifa or CoD or Fortnite on it. Like what are u saying?

PC gaming is actually cheaper than console gaming if your smart with your build.

The so called "razor blade" model is how console manufactures make a profit, because their heavily marking down their hardware but the cost of games on consoles is significantly higher than PC.

So you might think you're saving money buying a console, but that's only if you think about hardware costs alone. All up if you actually plan on buying games PC is much cheaper.

lol. Incredible what these have achieved, credit where its due. But actual hardware is nice too.

I have a ps5, and it actually does feel pointless.

PS5 isn't that bad, it has really fast load time and it's simple, so let people enjoy it and i would say you cant get a PC with that performance for that price at least now. Hardware prices still are very high.

I think it isn't pointless, if u have the money for it. You can buy both heck buy all platforms if u want..
