I don't know overcooked very well but from what I know its more about overcoming obstacles that crop up while plate up is just about finding a good working rhythm in a fairly stable restaurant.
for me this game is less stressful than overcooked because there's no need to jump cars, or dodge larva and all the other environment hazard.
the only concern is speed.
in addition, in plateup, you got to arrange your appliances, so usually the assigned chef will rearrange his kitchen to his desire and so will the waiter.
the only arguement probably is what object do you want to buy first =)
