can someone explane me how this thing works ?

when in the world, the magic spring will apply water to anything it can in a tile directly next to it (even if the item is held!)

I get the concept, and I've seen it in use, but is it really good for anything? I guess it makes some recipes faster if they need water, and it fills pots, but I'd much rather have a dishwasher over that. Is there some other better use for it?

eh, automation? since you won't need to take whatever you're trying to automate to a sink and instead can have it pass by the spring, it could potentially be really good if you get the right blueprints :p
