Mongolian Barbeque seems weird though. If I understand the idea correctly you'd basically just cook whatever selection of food the customer brought and return it like any other meal - it's like stir fry but the customers just take care of mixing the ingredients and you just work the wok in full auto pilot mode - I don't think it will be a good addition.
the flow of customers could probably be increased, so you'd constantly have to keep an eye on what's getting low, and keep it topped off- though i do agree it'd be less focused on servicing customers directly. to be fair, that's rather accurate to the buffet experience, haha
and to clarify, the mongolian barbeque thing was more of an example- like, there would be an item the customer could order specifically, that you'd have to cook for them. it'd add another element to juggle, another thing that could result in a game over, and therefore maybe make up for the lack of service element? obviously, i'm no game designer, so i have no real idea if it'd actually work, but it's just a fun little idea :]
Well instead of preping food you would make them prep a tray of food, one that would go into a buffet line. Could be like a basic restaurant but you get a stand that has 1 slot per dish and has like 6 portions instead of getting impatient at the table they get impatient if they are waiting for a tray to be delivered to the buffet stand. Then you have any dish made in the back inside the trays deliver the tray. Have to make sure you take a tray so there is an empty spot to add one it adds a different level of management for sure lol then you main thing is delivery to the buffet and cleaning dishes that need to be provided at the buffets as well.
Although playing a bakery last night after coming back we didn't need plates so that made it so much more enjoyable, and we didn't realise either for a long time that "topping" was needed and we kept getting chocolate recipes rofl they wanted cookies and broniwes and sponge cake! So at first we laughed cuz we thought it was busted they only wanted cookies cuz the icon didn't change... then I remembers toppings and we started serving brownies cuz 6 per pan lol never went back to cookies and never got a recipe that wasnt chocolate lol
