Can I play this alone?
I don't have any friends, but I really want to play this game. :/

Yes I just did. Stressful though...

It's doable but unless you have some really good planning skills and/or luck it will be extremely stressful and chaotic. On later rounds, there will be absolutely no downtime and breaks, except for the one between days, for you. You will constantly be shifting between the different tasks, it's fun but could easily be overwhelming if you're not properly prepared.

Solo is actually easier than multiplayer. So sure you can play solo, and i would recomend you doing so.

This used to be a decent solo game, but the devs decided to make timers go faster, use groups instead of customer count AND make the punishment rounds more punishing... I really loved this game, I was so excited about the update, now i just want to uninstall.. I work in a REAL restaurant, I feel like they are doing the idea justice, however, this has just become a miserable experience. There should be; A.) a creative mode, so you can actually LEARN how to automate the stuff before you get into day 13 and immediately fail from one mistake. B.) a "competitive mode" or "casual mode" for those that just like this experience.

I could've dealt with the group change if they actually reduced the number of groups to match an average of what the customer count would be but it feels to me like they just switched out Customers to Groups and called it a day. It's disappointing really.

I suppose that new mechanic at least "buffs" Individual DIning cards and hard nerfs the Mediium/Large Groups and Flexible Dining. I suppose the devs got angry with people using Flower Pot runs.

Solo is more stressful while you're learning, but once you know what you're doing it's a lot easier than multiplayer. It's definitely not even hard to grasp or anything, just a bit more of a learning curve as solo.
\O/ Would be great if the game can be bought bundled with a friend

I play solo for the most part and I've not really had any trouble. I normally get further playing solo than with others.
It's just some people find the starting learning curve to be a bit much to handle without someone else helping them.

That used to be the case, but I find it far more frustrating with the new recipes to keep on top of things. My duo runs are far more chill than the new solo runs.

Before the Halloween update I would have said yes, it was both doable and fun solo. I was playing it daily as a solo and also as a duo. But the Halloween update changed a few things that really made single player a LOT less fun. Especially on the Halloween maps. It kind of feels like they sacrificed the fun for all the casual players in favor of making it harder for the hard-core people. I've ended up putting it down for now, but hoping for a re-balance to occur later to make it fun as a solo again.

You can actually buy 2-packs and 4-packs on Humble for a discount! That's where I got my Steam copy :slimehappy:
