Can't Invite or Accept Invites

Accepting invites sends me back to my own lobby. Trying to select "Invite Friends" from the multiplayer screen, sets my selection back to the top of that menu (where you select your lobby type of Private, Invite Only, and Open.)

The only thing that works is remote play, but I can't use my own profile if I do remote play.

The invite friends menu should open up in the Steam overlay. Maybe you disabled it for the game?
