No hotseat multiplayer?
There are no keyboard buttons for player 2. You cannot play local co-op? Seems like a massive blunder of an omission.

Not really an omission, that implies it was deliberately withheld. Most games these days DON'T have local co-op simply because most people don't play local co-op. Especially on computers. And two people playing on the same keyboard? You're not playing rag doll volley ball on newgrounds... I'd only accept co-op if they ever do it in the form of dual controllers.

I dunno how you guys do it; every keyboard I've ever owned throws a fit any time more than 3 keys are held lol.

Gaming keyboard with N-key rollover.

Also I have USB SNES controllers which I can override keybinds for. I could be playing this with my wife with two controllers right now, except... you can't.

If you have controllers, you can definitely play local co-op. You just can't on one keyboard.

I use controllers and we can co op here no problem.

The game does not recognize my particular USB controller. I think it supports only like Xbox controllers or something?

Due to the sheer variety of controllers, game developers should always have keyboard binds for extra players, so we can use joy2key to map any controller to those keys.

PS4 Controllers also work too which is what I'm using with Steam Input disabled.

Yeah I play on a PS3 controller, though I needed special drivers to do it.

I have a PS4 Controller for some reason it's not recognized in the game. Am i doing anything wrong?

I use two XBOX 360 controllers and we play coop fine. We even added my son once on the keyboard and played all 3 of us.

They probably also don't care too much about local multiplayer then. If you are a Local Multiplayer Enthusiast TM, a good USB controller is almost necessary.

Me and my friends have been having the time of our lifes playing Local MP games through Remote Play Together (this game include), and that is thanks to all of us having one (or more) good controllers.

I actually intentionally bought a controller to play games like this because if you have a standard keyboard, it only accepts two key inputs and if you dont know this, its an issue for a LOT of games, especially if it takes two keys to input a diagonal, then it wont also take an action command, and trying to play multiplayer on a two input standard keyboard is fecking terrible. It took me ages to figure out that's what was killing a lot of my games and I had to specifically go buy one with 4+ inputs.

Controllers are cheap, I dont know why anyone would say this is a game killer.
