Also to answer in regard of contracts, if they would be added and you are before stir fry you would be having most of them unlocked, cause most of them were part of previous level ups, and you would be able to look forward to 3 more contracts, 1 on same level as stir fry and 1 on levels 16 and 18.

As for leveling requirements, it's hard to know for sure. Presumably you would need at least the fish entree unlocked to see the new fish type(s?), but I'm guessing that the map will just be available to everyone regardless of level. They haven't announced any brand new entree types yet, but if those are coming then it's safe to assume you'd have to unlock those via leveling. From what was announced so far, it doesn't seem like your level will be an access barrier
But if they are spicing things up by requiring bins, that is a whole new wrench in the works that will be very interesting to deal with.
I don't really agree with this take. Alastair is the solo dev for this game and I'm sure he's taken some time off since launch (or at least I hope so, because the stress from a game release must be immense), but regardless game development takes a lot of time. PlateUp is absolutely a complete game as it is right now, but even so he's promising more content to come. I'm sure the Halloween update is not the only one we will see.
That said, they haven't announced everything coming in the new update yet! Many QoL enhancements are coming, new dishes, and of course a little bit of Halloween spirit with cosmetics and maps; but we haven't seen everything that is coming; we've only seen a small portion. I don't see how it would be fair to judge this update until we see what is actually included when the official patch notes are posted.
But no matter what comes next, getting 50 hours out of a game like this sounds like a win to me!
