Pie seems op?
My fiance and I just did a run where we skipped every food card and just made pie. Didnt have to think about what the customer would want cause they would just want some meat pie. We optimized that meat pie to the bone and got through all 15 days with minimal thinking (most thinking was figuring out the dish washing situation and getting the couple table so we could optimize pie). We also aimed to get the upgrades for making dough faster. Is there some hidden difficulty modifier that counters this strategy? If not, just making pie seems really good (Obviously not the funnest way to play, but it did humor us to do it one time just because of how easy it was).

there's different ways to play, the non-food cards tend to increase challenge in other ways besides making you consider variety. i think pies do reduce customers as well but i wouldn't call it op.

i recently lost my pie run, my last card was carrot soup which i just couldn't squeeze into my kitchen so i took the other option. also added mushroom pie to my kitchen before the end.

Every food is "op" (except stir fry) if you never take any sides, variety, entrée or dessert. Yes every single customer will only ever order the same thing but you will soon be flooded by dozens if not a hundred customers per day.

yeah having single food fomula is generally OP since you only need to make one but the downside to taking only non-food card is that down the line, the amount of people increases way too much. We failed overtime day 3 because of this. Despite the fact that we nailed the serving and have automation for the food itself, there were queues, Too many queues.

Yup, automation is good but it does not make the food instantly. Same goes for cleaning dishes. At a certain point you just CAN'T serve that many customers.

It all depends on what your target is if you just want to play till 15 days any strategy is viable but for longer overtime runs things get ridicoulus if you don't take any sides or alternative foods because at overtime 18 my Fully automated Pizza Restaurant was broken by around 230 customers at a single day.

On the other Hand my Tier 3 Variety run with tons of sides and other menu Options had a total of only 4 customers at day 15.

I think this probably explains why it felt easy. Day 15 wasn't really that hard to achieve (Though a lot of reviews made it sound like it was). Outside of the franchise, is there any other way to make the base difficulty harder?

Pick a bad seed (which gives you bad card options) and Take all Rush cards Morning midday and Late.
You could also increase the difficulty a lot by using the phone a few times every day.

We were calling the phone 6-7 times a day to try to make it challenging but it didn't cause any issue for us. Guess I'll just have to see what happens the more we play.
