Get lucky and find Cabinets, hopefully at least 4
Get lucky and find the pieces you need for automation
Brute force your way thru the early game, crying and struggling
Mash that phone to get bonus money
Nearly lose several times in the early game
Rejoice when your copied blueprints are finally ready and can make things progressively easier
B-ring b-ring that phone and get that extra cash in.
I usually get my copy desk the day after the first decoration. Then I pray to the Old Gods, and reroll if necessary. From here it's all about luck and adaptation. I've gone into overtime several times this way.
There's no way even the first item there happens. You need to get two research desk drops, afford them both, and be upgrading nothing else. I've literally never seen a copy desk because it's just suicide to try and get it, if you get the drops at all, which 9/10 you don't.
I don't think y'all are playing the same game here....
Store the first one you get in your cabinet then once you get the second one buy i then use it to upgrade the one you stored to either copying, discount or blueprint depending on the way you prefer playing.
The copy desk can sit for a day or two while you save up, and if you can afford it by the first redecorating (or better yet get an extra blue cabinet) you can save and copy those high value decorations.
Personally I've gotten more cabinets since I started saving my first research desk which helps a lot too. I don't know if that is an exception or the rule, but it's what I see most often.
Your next day will guarantee you a 2nd desk
Finding additional cabinets is literally "get lucky"
I once did a full automation pizza restaurant; still failed on like OT7? or so because the customers literally couldn't eat fast enough for how many customers lined up outside.
Overall, I'ma just tell you this game is terrible, don't even play it.
