Extra Large Maps & "Career" Mode.

I find that the biggest limitation is seed sizes. I get to a point where I just can't fit in everything and still sustain the restaurant. I would enjoy a mode (say "career" or something) where you start off with a standard two room restaurant and when you hit a decor level, you can choose to upgrade your room size or purchase new rooms. That would increase playability for me.

Or extra large map seeds at least. Would love to see some modders make something like that.

I'd recommend try "gigante" seed, its's an xl map. I don't mind using seeds like that since xl sites aren't earned currently.

Seeds are a nice stopgap, but the core game could use a real feature of player designed or player influenced layouts.

I get this is a rougelite and not a food sim, but still.

No. The person is saying that those options could be implemented by choice. They said nothing about altering the gameplay for everyone... merely adding extra options for those that want it.
