The glitches are getting more than annoying...
I just picked this game back up a few days ago after a long hiatus (spurred on by playing through I Expect You to Die 3 on my QP and getting back into every puzzle/"escape room" VR game I have) and the amount (and severity) of the glitches is getting to the point where the game is literally unplayable.

I've had numerous items despawn or respawn in a spot where they were no longer accessible (the key in Tesla-land being one where I could get it the first time, but it fell through the gears of the box and then respawned on the floating chest and was no longer "fishable"... so a jump back to the present and then back to that time made it work again) and I was able to work through them either through jumping between times or restarting the game... but this one is driving me buggy (pun fully intended)!

I'm trying to get the guitar. I got the bolt (which for some reason went into its hole and then wouldn't turn... thankfully a jump back and forth fixed that one), but now when I get into the trailer there is NO way to grab the guitar. I thought I had missed a task somewhere, but sure enough I look at playthroughs and it's supposed to be grabbable as soon as you open the trailer. I went back to an earlier save and it still is not an item with which I can interact.

Why would something like this happen and (more importantly to me at the moment) how on Earth am I supposed to continue the game!?

I'm going to go back to a slightly earlier save again (some of the puzzles feel like a chore, especially when I've had to go through them a second... or third... or umpteeenth time) and see if it miraculously works, but I just don't understand how such a seemingly polished game with so much clear effort and love put into can still be so unplayable every few puzzles like clockwork (pun also intended)!

I want to love this game (it gives me Journeyman Project vibes here and there in the best way... and I loved the Myst sound cue homage early in the game) and the remake looks like it may be promising (hopefully much less buggy than the first "go"), but it's truly disheartening to keep finding bugs that I can't even find any record of anyone else having.

Okay, I'm feeling a bit silly because this seemingly wasn't a glitch (at least the guitar part) because I guess I just had to fully listen to the guitarist's dialogue before I could grab the guitar. Reloading the game with my newest autosave *was* glitched, though, seeing as the bolt was not in the other guy's hand and not in the trailer so it seemingly fully disappeared at some point.

Now I'm just trying to figure out what happened to the RC car in the next section: I was under the impression that I had to place it at the bottom and go back to the top to control it from there... but now it's another item that has joined the "I guess it's gone for good" pile. I really don't get it.

Hey there, sorry you are having these issues! I have shared them with the team. Instead of loading a recent save you could chapter load instead. This will reset the items and put them in the correct place. You can go to chapter select from the main menu.

Thank you for the reply! I actually just finished the game and enjoyed the experience despite some fiddly bugs here and there.

Regarding my issues, I went back to a previous save (just 1 or 2 earlier) and everything was as it should have been. I think the bugs I mentioned in the main post were the ones that happened to be the most frustrating, but I think the only other issues that got me a bit confused at times were related to hands snapping to other items in the area when trying to do specific turn dials and flip switches (especially during the puzzles using the "decoder") apart from the odd little thing here or there.

Looking forward to the "refreshed" version, but I'm definitely glad I got a chance to experience this iteration!
