yo try black desert, mir 4 or ff xvi has even more playerbase and no horning system lost ark just gonna rip u off.. ton of ppl become homeless and some ppl play for the skins lmao.

BDO is gaining players still and LA is losing them and the game isn't even 2 years old in NA. BDO must be doing something right while clearly LA is tanking. Can we all accept numbers don't lie?

I mean that's a recent development, and has a lot to do with streamers too.
BDO is currently the FOMO, it won't last.

I am not saying that Lost Ark hasn't lost a lot of players and doesn't have problems but almost every game will see a drop in players and if they're lucky there will be some temporary growths here and there.
The only exception that comes to mind is FFXIV, the game has been consistently growing since ARR and even had a growth spurt during a content drought in the current expansion.
But FFXIV is an exception and will also at some point peak and then lose players before it stabilizes.

And streamer induced growth is *artifical* and is generally only temporary too they leave when the streamer stops playing and moves on to the next FOMO game.

It might even happen again with Lost Ark too in the future and then people will be all like '' omg look at Lost Ark it's gaining so many players omg BDO is DYING !? ''...

Edit: Also, it's worth noting that as someone who has been playing FFXIV since ARR.
I've seen people screeching about how the game is '' dying '' since ARR...
People ALWAYS scream about how EVERY game is dying *except* when it's the FOMO.
It's like people think a game needs to be the FOMO in order to stay alive or something.
It doesn't.

FFXIV has the most players that it has ever had and people still scream about how it's dead/ dying.
I've never played a MMO in particular where people haven't done this and I've been playing them for almost 20 years now.

Sure, every game loses players, but not in the same catastrophic, "abandon ship" style that Lost Ark does! It's not a general trend, it's an evacuation.

yep.. i also dont understand how some people are like that.. its the same as back then when there were hundreds of thousands of bots in lost ark... some people were like "but every mmorpg has bots"

and as you said..every game has haters.. even the biggest games have people people yelling "this game is dying"
but in Lost ark's case we have every number we need to know to be sure we are absolutely right
im actually quite sad that almost every other mmorpg isnt that transparent about its player numbers

Just saying some negative opinions that I had on a game I tried to get back into..that's all ^^
it is a game forum so it should help out the user who was asking about it so they don't make a serious mistake in trying it out and wasting their time yknow.
