Game is empty?
I once played during the initial hype, I've returned with a new character and I haven't seen a single other Player in Prideholm. My characters got merged into Evergrace EU.
Is it just the server, or is the game dead?

Edit: So I searched a bit, is Zinnervale still a good choice to create a new character on?
My roaster xp will be transfered, right?

No Zinnervale will be considered a new roster, but like it's Prideholm why would you expect 2 years after release to see people in the starting area?
You will see people in the later bigger cities like Vern for example, so you don't really have to make a new roster since most raids, etc. are region-wide matchmaking

What sort of stupid reply is that!!! Literally every mmo out there has live players and not millions of bots in starting zones to this day even after a decade. LMFAO

+1

need to move to the end game cities, vern will have some population, punka too, feiton will have lots of people as thats where most do their dailies.

some more advice, do not matchmake chaos dungeons (these are done solo) just in case you were trying and waiting ages for groups.

low level guardian raids tend to be dead, you need to get to 1415+ before you will see people doing these.

low lever abyss dungeons are also dead, legion raids start at 1415 but the real start is valten hard with is 1445, which is where you will see groups.

basically end game starts tier 3 and 1445 is the very start where you will see more activity.

the reason why there is not many players around starting zones is that the already existing players get free tickets to skip those parts once they have done it once on their main characters.

is the game dead? yes and no. its dead for casuals and early game. very much alive for mid and end game. so once you get out of the tutorial phase, you'll start seeing more players.

edit: as for that funny reply that you assume every mmo has populated starting zones, what kind of mmo have you played recently?

i tried WoW awhile back and every server starting zone is dead except for hardcore because you get to create your character again and again. and WoW is considered to be the biggest mmo in the history of mmos.

Sounds like someone only ever played dead mmorpgs in his life... play some popular ones and you gonna see a good amount of players even early on..some of those being 10 years old or even older

Time and time again it is funny to observe the mental gymnastics of some defenders which are too addicted and try to justify all their life choices
they just have to tell themselves "all games are similar"
Otherwise they would have to admit they are in the wrong and wasted 3000 hours or more

If I log into BDO or WoW I see the MOST players in starting Zones or Starting Cities.
They are the absolute opposite of LA in that regard.
And those games are much older than 2 years! ;)
Weird.
Isn't it?

it is. both of those games are also p2w and very much bot infested.

i really wonder what are they doing thats so much better.

sometimes i wonder why do people play dota when league has millions of more players.

could be a number of things like ads/marketing, accessibility, hardware requirements.
who knows?

Whatever they do, it is working. While LA is losing.

Wait so World of Warcraft is a dead game? It was very rare to see anyone in starting zone until they arrived to a main city town. And I'm talking back when the game was at the highest player count during Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansions. I played WoW for 6 years. In before ''but but you can see people in starting place in ''season of discovery and hardcore'' also in before you compare Stormwind/Orgrimmar to Prideholme. -facepalm-

Also there's no reason for early/mid/end game players to be camping around in Prideholme.

You will see a ton of players in North Vern main town, Feiton main town, Punika main town, Elgacia, Voldis. I could go to every one of those towns and see a ton of people. I can open the party finder and see more than 100 parties being made all day except during late night like 2am-6am

Let's not forget that they even give you power pass to skip the starting zones. Why would anyone want to not use the free power pass they give you? Even if you didn't use the free pass and you started in Prideholme it's just a few minutes and you are out of Prideholme. Even in the start of jumpstart server they put you in right into North Vern starting at 1415 ilvl and full relic set and stuff like that. It's a very long way from Prideholme to North Vern.

Now I'm gonna use your own bad take responses against you: ''There is no bots in Lost Ark anymore since I don't see any in Prideholme'' see what I did there? You clearly know that is not the case so even bots don't show up in Prideholme that should tell you why you don't see players in Prideholme as well.

I wonder who's using mental gymnastics now and being disingenuous.

OP no the game is not empty and there's no reason to start in a new server just stay in Evergrace. You can play with anyone from every server in same Region for end game content.

-I havent played other MMOs in a long time; but generally the "hang out" spot for people is the most efficient spot. In WoW, don't people hang out in the "main towns" which happen to be early game like that dwarf fortress?

-The same occurs for Lost Ark, but the first main city is North Vern and not Luterra Castle for convenience and power pass reasons. You will see new players in those cities.. not Prideholm.

I mean there would be people in Prideholm and so if you could actually do something there. You can't Upgrade, cut Stones, do Elixirs, etc. if they would add the option to do that there, you would see people chill there.
The fact that Luterra Castle is the first real place where you can do such things is what hinders Prideholm to be considered for such a place.
