If you're 18+ you can spend your money however you want, be it a 10ft tall pink fluffy unicorn toy or 100 pheons, ain't up to others how you wanna spend your earned cash. Just don't be dumb wasting it on things that don't make you happy or that you cant afford.
And if you think Lost Ark is manipulative and predatory maybe get your self-control checked. It doesn't shove the store down your throat after each loading screen, you've got to chose to open it -> search -> buy.

I'm F2P in Lost ark and none of that is close ;) I think that adults (this game is 18+) can and will make their own decisions with their money. If they struggle with their finances and make impulse purchases that is not a Lost Ark problem, that is a them problem that they should address and seek help with, as it will affect their lives in many ways outside of lost ark and in any game with a store (which is a lot, by the way..).

I'm saying, don't shut McDonalds because a Karen put on weight. It's up to the individual to take control of their lives and purchases, and to seek help if they cannot.

to the most people shoes and food is necessity, i understand it's business and all and they have to make money considering it's free moba, but they lock everything behind paywall, you're f2p player u oughta know it. They even locked gear upgrade system behind pheons, never seen greedy company like AGS and Smilegate before. They don't do anything against bots, rmt, server crashing, EAC Offline etc but when they make mistake and giveaway few measly pheons they punishing everyone with maintenance, i can't comprehend how bad this company is.
So remind me again why should people waste their money to a company that doesn't care about it's player base?
Wanna buy skins? Pheons
Wanna upgrade tripod? Pheons
Wanna upgrade ur gears? Pheons
Wanna buy a stone that you probably fail 10 times before reaching 7x7 ? Pheons.

then go play sth else, this is a f2p game, im basically rich in lost ark at this point without spending too much, only bought character slots and im sitting on like 500k gold in pure cash
you expect to play this game for free without having to spend much time and without spending any money? you are in the wrong game then
go play guild wars 2 or ff14... there u dont have to grind like this and u can do whatever u want

it's alright, you can cope and seethe with ur 500k but at this rate of the in game inflation few month's later you can't even gear one char with that , think about the BC prices in game, you know why it's so high? RMT and Pheons, so goodluck with that. Ima be that mental guy that keep screaming at people not to throw their money to this endless void

I'm still at 0 cents spent in this game other than the bronze pack at start of the game since my friend pushed me into playing it 3 days earlier.

Will keep it that way, won't spend money until I quit the game when Riot MMO or D4 comes out.

No reason to spend money in this game other than FOMO. Great game for a F2P just gets too repetitive at times. I'm more bothered about when I waste so much time in wiping in legion raids because of other ppl who constantly fail easy mechanics.

Paywall means the only way is using real money to get over the wall. Except everything that you mentioned was made so even f2p can get stuff that costs real money by just playing the game. There's no paywall. That's a imaginary wall you are making.

Honestly I have no idea how can people even complain about a 99% F2P game. (the 1% is random stuff related to cosmetics that you can't get without paying real money)

Complaining about free stuff is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

It's like the son who cries because he got A instead of B even tho he got it for free. A lot of man childs in here or immature kids -shrugs-

Regarthless I agree that pheon system is bad in general and the costs of Pheons need to be balanced depending on how much BC costs.
