First Solo Raid - Impossible ?

I have a 1415 rated gear. Attempted to take on the boss who has 50 layers of health. Best I can wear it down is to 25 layers before I die.

The solo raids are extremely easy so you should check your build. Maybe a raid guide if you want to but it shouldn't be difficult.

Are you dying to berserk time or running out of potions? If it's neither and you randomly just died then you are not doing the orb mech correctly.

u could keep leveling up further up to 1490 even on that gear to make valtan and vykas easier, use soloraid clear medal tokens to get the gear faster also.

Allright - Ill check it out.. on that note..for an Artillerist at Level 10 1415 gear (Dimensional Gear) - what should be the next gear I should aim for? Is it one of these and IF YES for solo - which one?

Nobody will be matchmaking or creating groups for old abyssal dungeons. That's why solo mode raids were created. The only real chance you have of doing those old dungeons and raids with a group is bringing friends who are playing with you.

Your next set of gear is the legion commander 1250 relic set, yes. Go look up the maxroll guide for the class engraving you prefer playing and make the set with the effect it says (if you make a mistake, you can freely change the set effect in the P window, there's a button at the bottom). You will get the mats to craft the pieces from Valtan and Vykas solo mode gates. There are extra mats in the solo vendor as well that refresh once a week. After crafting each piece, at the honing NPC you'll want to use the gear transfer option to transfer your honing progress from your epic piece to your relic piece. Do not hone the relic pieces from 0.

You'll want to make sure your build, engraving support, and gems are ready and read the maxroll guide on Valtan and Vykas gates before you attempt them. There are sections in the normal guides for solo mode. You can also watch videos on YouTube explaining each gate.

Use your other clear medals to buy honing mats to get to 1430 (one upgrade on each piece), prioritizing orehas since those will cost you gold to make, and then anything else you're missing except shards, just run chaos dungeons daily and get the bonus rewards, that should give you plenty. At 1430 you can fight Vykas and buy extra Vykas materials for your relic weapon and gloves in the solo vendor.

Oh and don't forget to buy out all the materials you can from the event shop going on right now. Do the dailies on the event island and your chaos dungeon and guardian raid every day, as well as claiming activity rewards to get the currency. You can use them now if you want or save them for a character you use the event powerpass on, or the powerpass coming at the end of February for the new class launch.

Im not able to do against Valtan solo to get these mats. And I have no friends (in RL or Online :) to coop with) so how do i breach this chicken and egg sitaution?

sadly the games solo until around 1640. though, i like solo so it works out for me sort of.

i leveled a character to 1490 without doing valtan or vykas and then it was easy to do + clear medal tokens to buy from soloraid shop are roster wide so if u use a stupid event pass to make a 1585 or 1640, u can get clear medal tokens on that dude and use them on ur lower levels.

Those old raids were alot of fun. It's a shame they make them obsolete and push people to event pass to end game instead of actually playing the whole game. I think it's awesome that you are running it all.

How ? I think this is key..I need SOME way to get to 1490 - feels like they forgot about 1415 gear people & considering what you guys are saying about higher level rightly not playing these lower level raids - we're stuck

They didnt forget about 1415 players.... you are just not playing the game correctly. The game was redesigned with the intent of a new or returning player to use the Power Pass and Mokoko Events which boost your character to the current "endgame" skipping old timegated content no one does anymore. You can then use that character to farm items on which makes leveling up a new character easier, assuming you do so without waiting for another pass to release.
Sadly because so many people cry about bots AGS has made it hard for new accounts to get these power passes.

As an Arty you should have no problem clearing solo raids.
You are given 5x3 engravings giving you 15% to 25% more power than players who cleared the raid when it released. The raid has also been heavily nerfed and nerfed even more in solo raids, its not that your character lacks the gear to clear it.

Read up on each build and pick the build based on the playstyle you wish to play. Then build your character the way it shows with the engravings, skills, and gems, and read up on how to play the build.

You cannot just click on random skills for most classes, theres a "rotation" you need to follow to build meter or to buff the damage of your big hitting skills.

You are being thrown into a raid that requires you to have knowledge on playing your class, this raid was once "endgame" and even though its been nerfed to the ground you still need to know the basics of how your class works.

As for the raid bosses you cannot just stand still in raids. Solo raids are super easy but you still need to learn the basic attacks of the bosses and try to not get hit by them. You also need to learn the mechs which happen at the same HP bars every fight and if you fail the mechs they can/will one shot you.

The Next Event come on the on the 26th when the new class releases, you will if your account is trusted in the game receive a power pass to 1580 or 1600, then there will be an event giving you items to help you reach 1660.

I recommend checking a video guide on how to do Valtan. Because anyone should be able to solo valtan. Check the guides for how to properly set up your class engravings/tripods/skills and check their rotations.
