That's how most people feel, i mean over 95% of people who try this game quit despite it having the best combat cause the its setup so poorly for most people. U can skip past doing oreha's well somehow i think,... yea i'm pretty sure i leveled my character to 1490 without doing a single raid, and u can buy stuff from the soloraid shop to craft valtan and vykas gear. without doing them. Once u get to 1445, there's solo raid options and the game sort of gets better i guess. atleast until 1580 ish
When people can use free pass and use events to get to 1585 from just creating a character there is no point in doing any of that old content and even if there was no event or free pass to 1585 you can get to 1540 or 1580 without doing any kind of raids. Doing Orehas Well is actually griefing your self when you can just push to 1540 or even 1580 (i mean just use the current free pass and ur instantly 1585 ilvl), because you are using one out of 3 gold raids for that week for a raid that gives literally no gold when you can make so much more gold from just pushing your ilvl and do solo raid content at higher ilvl.
It's better to ask or follow a guide if you are new to the game to know what you can do to progress in the game.
By either going to reddit and asking for some tips or go to https://www.lostark.nexus/ or https://maxroll.gg/lost-ark/resources/beginners-and-returners-guide or going into lost ark nexus discord and asking for some help and tips on what to do in one of the channels.
you either solo all raids to 1580 even then players still solo now to 1620/40 esp., on rat alts. or you find friends to help you but that problem is also you would been enough friends todo the raids 3 or 7 others.
you can still play your pace to 1640 and solo alll raids except aegirs. thats still good. just keep in mind doing solo raids on a support is painful....i recommend having 4 of the same DPS class you enjoy and share gem/items with it to improve until you have a better understanding or what to do. at least that way you can do solo raids comfortably and make gold while pushing a main.
Yea, i mean i played for 8k hours since release, but quit for a year and it was the best decision of my life. came back last week and i hate myself now lul. You and like a million other people felt the same way. including myself but i'm addicted in a sense and there's no other top down games with combat i enjoy. it's really sad cause with some changes that cater to the majority of people the game could become one of the best games ever. But greed and a toxic community will see to that it never happens.
Unless you're able to tune out all these brainwashed elitist tryhards who can only think about gains and numbers and just enjoy the game without getting stressed out over all the terrible systems in play that turn good content obsolete. I would quit if i were you, and i'm not saying it to be toxic. I was sincerely happier when i wasn't playing and felt massive amounts of self respect, dignity, and freedom.
But if you can tune out all these miserable elitist vets, and just play here and there to do things u find fun. There's ways to get around the stupidly forced to be dead content that was fun so that u can still progress. Like instead of keeping old content for new players to enjoy. they just found ways for people to bypass it. So like yea, just keep leveling up and work the soloraid shop vendor and u should be able to progress even with noone around to even be able to enter those fun dungeons and raids. Gluck!
yea it just skips a bunch of good content and dumps u into aids. powerpasses ruin the game, espeically for new players who actualy wanna play all of it and not just math and progress while studying guides like it's their finals and a job depends on it.
I had 8k hours and quit for a long time, came back and 1 powerpass dumps a new character further than anything i did combined. playing for progress is almost a pointless waste of time when u can just not play and get further by waiting long enough lul.
