Is the game fun?

I played it a bit when it realeased, i played the gunslinger with a rifle, shotgun and handgun stances and it was pretty fun at the beginning, but then enemies became more bullet spongy and i started playing other stuff.

I'm thinking maybe i should try again so im wondering if enemies turn into tedious bullet sponges or if that was because of bad equipment?

The endgame raids are fun for me, playing with my group on discord, and the combat/classes/cosmetics are great too, Lost Ark has the best combat in any MMO I've tried.

I play a bard, and I like supporting my group.

Be aware if you do come back, it will take you some time to catch up to people who have been playing awhile, as long as you are chill and don't fomo with new content then you might enjoy yourself.

Raids are fun, but farming to get to the big raids isnt.

The game is fun, the gambling sim that it got turned into you can decide for yourself. Lots of bots, and the economy is pretty messed up from the last time I played. Pheon prices are outrageous because of the bots. This game is not kind to casual players. The game is not shy about trying to dip into your wallet.

To answer your other questions...
My fav class was Reflux sorc, lots of casting and really good mobility.
The combat systems feel really good, so much so that I could not stand going back to Diablo III after playing it.
Just a shame that all of your improvement is gambling/luck and 0 skill is needed to reach max power.

It's cool hearing about why people like the classes they play.
I only really played gunslinger, but it was really cool doing sick parkour and shooting stuff and changing weapon stance to suit the situation.

A lot of the toxicity comes from these forums and from people who don't even play the game.

Most of the posts in this thread are outright lies, there's a lot of good people that play the game, and are willing to help new folks get set up.

Lost ark is time consuming for sure, and I never play with bots. Yes the bots are a problem but it's relatively a smaller presence than before.

Do not buy gold from third party websites as you risk being banned. The recent bans that have taken place were an accident in their attempts to ban bots and people who rmt.

The negative review bomb is a result of this, but you'll find its a different story when you actually play the game or meet people who play, I find the lost ark reddit forums a more welcoming place with less trolls.
