Mining bomb?

Hi I just returned to game to potter around and complete some steam achievements... I got my mining to level 30, but haven't received the Mining Bomb skill? Any ideas? It's not on the Trade Skills page.

When T4 released all Trade Skills were reworked to make them all viable in doing which they now all are, where before it was only Fishing, Excavation, and sometimes Hunting.
Mining Bomb was a useless ability that did nothing and was replaced with Full Swing.

So you can no longer get those Achievements

it's so annoying they refuse to update the achievements, some of them have been unobtainable for years

Something you can try is going to Spida Island and seeing if theres a bomb item there or if you can interact and place a bomb.
This island requires or did for everyone to mine a large egg until it breaks. Mining Bombs helped in doing this, so maybe they added bombs theres that might count for the Achievement.

I have no clue tho if they did or didnt, havnt been there for years or since they did the change, likely they just lowered the eggs hp, but its the only place I can think of that might still have a bomb that might count.

theres 1000s if not 10s of 1000s of achievements on Steam like that, same for PSN and Xbox.
Some games even have time restricted achievements

The reality is most people dont care about achievements, then theres the mindset of, I played the game when it was new and did things to get achievements that are now unobtainable due to changed in the game, others shouldnt be allowed to get them, which is kind of a point to achievements.

they already had unobtainable achievements at launch ^

I'm not saying they should take away all the old achievements but they could easily rework a few. or even add new ones that suit the game's current state better.
