If you like playing a "Massively Multiplayer" game that is turning into a single-player experience, because Players are more and more replaced by Bots and Gold-farmers,
then this might be the game for you.

Doesn't seem false to me. Maybe you're just incapable of seeing any perspectives outside of your own,
I reinstalled, and to be fair i don't see that many. but i don't see that many people compared to how it used to be either. Still see some bots. It looks like about the same ratio as i thought before reinstalling. So no worse, not much better. Granted bots were never the real problem and people just say it is to create this endless pointless debate imo.
Bots never caused me a raid wipe, bots never insulted me and treated me like garbage, bots never stopped me from progressing or disrupted my gameplay. And people who say it's all about the economy. Well the economy doesn't dictate the game for me since i have a mind of my own and play on my own terms. I know this doesn't bode well for me as all the brainwashed tryhards will judge and alienate me. but I enjoy the game for the game and it's combat. not it's politics.
It's not dead obviously cause it's still got a small diehard fanbase. but it's like living in purgatory where nothing you do and none of your interactions mean much. As for new and returning players. it's full of despair. So i guess in a sense it is dead. To the outside world.
Yea i finally reinstalled after a year off today. Having fun with some nostalgia cause i really enjoy playing all my characters. But other than that, it's been a pretty miserable experience. Though, It's really nice that there's solo raids cause i'm absolutely smashing them now that i don't have to deal with other people. But It's the same disappointing timegated progress as i knew it would be.
Like i did everything i could do to make gold. I did my raid to get the mats i need to craft a gear piece.... but now i have to wait a week to get more gear crafting pieces, and thats only if i funnel all my gold and resource into that one character. (which i already did and it did not go far.) There's nothing else i can do for any significant gains. I mean i do have 26 characters with like over 400 cube tickets still to use.. and can go run story lines for more roster, but i was roster 300 already by the end of 2022 and i'm already at 304 by my first day coming back.
Still everything i do feels pointless. I used the powerpass on a breaker cause i that's the only character i dind't have since it released after i quit.. It's already further than half my roster. Meaning all the hours and gold i put into pushing my charcters before i quit is almost meaningless and i'm more rewarded for not playing and waiting for free stuff. The only reward in playing if u go full job with unpaid overtime is in controlling the characters and learning how to use them better (which i did enjoy and it has it's clear benefits) and That these alts will be semi geared enough to absolutely smash raids.
Granted all the effort i put before i quit into 5x3 lvl 7 gems, all those pheons for the accesoriees. It's all worthless now other than the gems. cause u get free engravings and i'd be better off getting high quality accesories with random engravings on them now. What a waste lul.
In short my experience of returning has not been going well. The things i enjoy were exactly what i expected and knew i would with the bonus of solo as an option if u don't wanna lobby simulate or deal with terrible people. The things that suck are all still there and the same but with a few added low blows to the returning or new player.
It's false cause I play the game on a daily basis and play with friends from other servers, I'm well aware of a potential bot invasion as I've made videos of it before.

i mean i see bots right now on my server. so i dunno what to tell you besides to enjoy your bubble. It's all about you and only your view is the right one.
Never said there weren't any bots, there are none on my server, and the amount of bots is small, some people are saying it's 90% bots or whatever, that's false info.. stop harrassing me when I provide proof of my server and cluster.
I just wanna enjoy the journey. I don't want this game to die anytime soon! T_T especially now that I'm jumpin in and streaming my journey XD it's been really fun so far. so to answer OP's question, YES, there are new players. Just not A LOT. but they are there.
Note : Not all player like that , some player make room to help new player learn or help to clear (RARES PLAYER ON LOST ARK ) ...
extra note... my 1st account got banned they accuse me botting.. already complain to amazon... you name it CS lost , CS amazon store, ect... Uselesss
before i got banned i complain about event ... The rest you conclude it..
