The game industry is like a mighty river it's always moving downstream and very few ever swim back upstream to face the rapid waters again.

You must have been a wise philosopher in a previous life in ancient China

the problem is us players.
I given all the new players plenty chances and sadly it has been disaster to a point i rather play with the gate keepers than spend my time teaching new people.

For example 1460+argos runs,im like 1570 taking random 1400's so they can get their gold and none of them bother to listen on what to do.Valtans and vykas on same ilvl is same story and yet they make forum posts how they are getting gate kept.

So they make their own partys but gues what, they take higher ilvls over someone on their own ilvl.So i feel like players that are overgeared just stick with eachother than spend time with new comers that can't even say a simple thank you.

The game is not a race to something, can play it casually.
But new comers should atleast use the information that is out there on content they do if they just not smart, frankly 20 percent of user base feels capable up there where others are not book smart but got the biggest egos, those others are majority of player base btw.

In short how do you fix people to make the game better, you don't and so we travel from game to game thinking the next thing will be better :D ,just find a group of people with similar thought process as you and it makes any game better, relying on other strangers is just disappointment.

not many players have been lost.

Bots have been crushed, simply.
its a soulless game, mmos are suppose to feel massive and alive. instead it feels more like a solo mobile game that runs like a daily chore simulator.

Recover? not really as devs have confirmed they are not gonna reduce dailies because Saintone said in stream once average KR player who swipes on LA regularly play about 2-3 chars and reducing dailies means they will not have much to do in game. I think dailies are the main concern which cause burnout even if you do on rested and make people leave because they are so mufking boring to do and game forcing it on you instead of giving any choice. Raids are the other big time sink and this was the main worry for me and many other as with every new raid coming with increase difficulty avg time to complete any raid is increasing from 25 mins to 40 mins and Brel hard even increased more, everyone with 6 chars have to spend atleast 18 raids x 45 mins(including party finder time and assuming you don't wipe) = 13.5 hours/week doing same raids for the 300th time. I have no idea this tyoe of gameplay model can sustain or attract any new player as pretty much everyone have played LA at this point.
TLDR: No it will never recover but go more downhill with new games coming next few month and i can bet player count will be 40k max after D4 and BP comes out, not because those those are good games but people just want escape game from LA who are addicted.

In January 2023, the player count dropped by 36.83% compared to the previous month, and in March 2023, it decreased by 34.12% compared to February 2023. The month-to-month decline is substantial, with a loss of 99,261.2 players in January and a loss of 57,395.4 players in March.

Based on this data, we can conclude that Lost Ark is experiencing a significant decline in player engagement. This could be due to a variety of factors, such as competition from other games, changes in game mechanics or content, or player burnout. To retain existing players and attract new ones, developers may need to analyze the causes of this decline and implement changes to address them.
I saw some say on reddit that the decline fits with most mmos after a year and that LA just has too many regions and should just merge.
La has a decent playercount but it just has everyone spread out.

Most of it is merely due to Bot ban waves, content drops are also a bit spaced out so you will get drops between.
I think the real test will be with the Diablo 4 launch, that will draw many players myself included as its not likely to be as heavily dependant on groups to do endgame.
