This game gives me BnS PTSD because they did the exact same ♥♥♥♥, lied, turned the game completely P2W, only difference is this game wont even last a year since they are way more aggressive and incompetent (no good outfits, or censoring everything. Half the content missing in our version, stuff like that).
It's really not looking good and RMT is being punished with 3 day bans, why wouldn't these whales just take the risk, eat the 3 day ban and come back to 1400+ characters. shtshow.
Can only agree on this I also played BnS holy damn the pay2win was too hard lol
Sadly on 1340 you get to face that hardly because they cut the honing chances in half thats just insane... I have no problem in paying for skins and some stuff for real but I dont really like the System right now to pay so hard like I have to propably pay 500€ to get to a certain Ilvl to play the game further or I have to play for 6 months and grind everyday the 4 dungeons and try once a week to upgrade 1 item to the next lvl lmao
I quit BnS when I couldn't progress as F2P and had to use my gold to buy carries in raids like ET. At that point I was just way too far behind as F2P to compare to others. I could be behind for a lot of reasons, but truth is, it didnt feel good playing the game in that state. I honestly see the same problem affecting Lost Ark down the line, we already have a taste of that with Argos, where players are powerless and rely on heavy RNG to progress...
I agree with you on the monetization, I have no problem buying skins and cosmetics, but I would never buy gold, using real money, just to "ease" progression because Amazon decided our version should be gimped and miss half the content in T3.
got flamed to death by leveling casuals when pointing out how t3 works a few weeks ago.
It may seem just that to you, but I look at it in a different light. Amazon would lose nothing in letting people get those materials, literally nothing given how bad the chances are. It shows how Amazon wants EVERY player to hit that 1340 wall, have no help from events along the way, and be frustrated like everyone else was, expecting some of these "late" players to be putting down a couple hundred bucks to ease progression, because otherwise it's a literal dead area. With the help of those materials, they could atleast have a better chance.
It also shows how honing increases will not come out for a long time, because if Amazon cannot even be bothered to give those peanuts to players, imagine giving them 15% increase chance in T3....
You've completed all your rapport? Every lopang island for silver? Every island token and mokoko seed? You did all the sea adventures already? You 100% every adventure's tome too I assume? Must've got all the omni stars too, obviously. Got all your ships/crewmates maxed already as well I bet. You hit level 1 in pvp already so when the vendor comes out, you'll be able to clear it out weekly? You completed every daily quest chain for all the rewards already? but theirs nothing to do it's pay walled wahhhhhhh.
I think you look at it in a way that makes you seem like you are coping or just delusional. T1 and T2 were faillures in KR, in fact KR and RU avoid those tiers because they are that bad, effectively, the game starts at T3, and you start at T3 with gimped percentages and material acquisition compared to other regions. Less %'s and no heroic content (abyss and guardian). PVP vendor is coming but I bet its going to be worse than other regions.
Realistically, for most people, collectibles hold very little value. A lot of Island tokens are RNG from Boss drops. Mokoko seeds are a huge chore at 1200+ for no real reward, and I dont consider playing The Sims with NPC's for over 3 months to be content. Adventurer's Tome is the best value from it all but again, most of the stuff is useless.
You have to understand that the only place you see progression is in your gear, it is natural that players make that their goal, and I do wonder what your excuse will be in 3 months when the game is down to 50k players and 200k bots, and the completion is no longer an excuse to shield yourself from the real problems the Western version has.
As a player who's never gonna put a dime on this game, I resigned myself to probably stick to T2 and do everything possible there.
After reading what T3 is all about, I don't think it would be worth it to reach this tier, at least not now. What I do know though is that if I stick to T2 for too long with my main and alts, I'll get bored (I already am sometimes) and just quit.
The game offers so much stuff to do and yet, 80% of it is based around literally wasting my time.
Navigating is a waste of time
Farming Tokens from a RNG drop is wasting my time.
There's a quest where I had to literally stand still on a circle for 2 minutes.
Not much of the game actually offers interesting things to do when it comes to horizontal content. And since the vertical progression is built behind a paywall after T3 ......
now eat the blind fan boy what he was deffending :D
T3-Mid is just currently a 'placeholder' that people can already grow into without stagnating, but its biggest resource acquisitions arrive later.
The only reason T3 feels like P2W, is because people are impatient and want to max out their gear as FAST as they can so they don't fear of missing out new endgame content, and all that demand generates a market. But given enough time, you can easily access everything without paying a dime.
yeah man collectibles is the content which people looking for, i want to see you go to every rapport npc everyday and use emotes/sheetmusic on them for months lmao.
Ship materials are too expensive to max your ship right now.
a lot island tokens are based on rng and timegated.
100% Adventure tome needs to 100% rapport npcs, this will take months also not the content which people looking for.
i hope they bring you to spent half of your lifesavings just so you can play argos.
It's as if I wrote this although I do like most of the horizontal content/progress. I'd have quit by now if it weren't there and this was just a game to try and mimic Monster Hunter with a bunch of BS rng tied to it.
Progress through difficulty, clearing harder and harder content, and getting rewared if you succeed = good
Progress through RNG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and potentially get stuck for months being forced to do daily job-like activities to (try to) keep up, or just spend thousands of dollars = bad.
tl;dr less raid nerfs, more honing BS nerfs.
In fact I wouldn't mind if the whole honing BS was completely removed from the game, always 100%, and no daily restraints on material gains, make progression be about achieving something, surviving hard trials, hard raids, not clicking a button and having ♥♥♥♥ chances.
And the problem is also that new content gets released and literally 95% of the playerbase cant even take part on it but the 5% of "whales" that safe paid over 1000 of $$$ can proceed.
Also "Collectibles" are no content that provides you better GS to increase and proceed further. Every T3 player right now is hardstuck against a paywall no matter how good you are you cant proceed in time where content gets released to play them for example now whales play 1370 argos till we are 1370 the whales will be 1415 on new content like the 5% whales.
EXACTLY This situation happend to new world and Blade and Soul exactly that situation...
They should just increase the honing chance so that you actually have a chance a day to increase gear +1 i would be fine with that lol
PS theres also a ghostship that gives materials and you know what? ITS for 1370+ LMAO
Also ppl dont know how it feels for t3 players that played since release and loved the game so much and get the shock of their life when they saw the 15% honing chance + the materials costs its just complelty ridiculous.
Before I forget anything else you can literally buy the items from the Tomes and just rush trough the continents to get the 100% you can even do all on 1 day dont call collectibles "progression" its just a minijob you can do if you are done with the main quests like chaos dungeon abbys raids and so on.
Right now Lost Ark feels like a Smartphone game where you start to play as soon as you get on the toilet for 20 minutes and when you are done u just quit the game for the next toilet session lmao
