I think the stronghold lab has research to increase the amount you get back over time.

My approach is to focus on a specific resource for each fill of the bar unless I'm running low on something.

work energy (aka trade skill energy) can be replaced with Minor Life potion (green) which is available in the shop

action energy is the stronghold one

Best way to get more is to get gold, turn into blue crystals, buy energy potions from mari's store when you can. Easy to buy all the ones that are available once you are in upper end T2 or T3.

In the Store. Mari's shop has two tabs, energy potions are always on the second tab.

There's multiple pages to Mari's Store too that you can navigate using the "Prev." and "Next" options at the top. There's always 12 pages.

When a new page is rotated in, the oldest page is removed so it's a good idea to always scroll to the oldest pages and buy from there first if they have what you need.
