For your alts maybe, does nothing for your main as you get the lower tier research once you go up a tier.

To clarify for those wondering.
If your main character reached the next tier.
For exmaple tier 2 by equiping Item level 803 gear.

Then you get 2 new research options in your Stronghold.
One to increase honing chance for Tier 1.
And one to reduce Material cost for Tier 1.

It does nothing for your main character.

Thats what the others mean by "Only for your alts"

It does actually do stuff for your main.

If you do it, you get T3 alts sooner and cheaper which basically means more T3 materials you can feed into your main ^^.

The titel of your post sounds like you can increase your honing chance for your main character throu your stronghold.
And that is straight wrong.

Hence all of us reminding everyone who doesnt know about it, that it doesnt help you now but only if you want to make alts and only for full cleared tiers.
