Never played WoW or FFXIV? Plenty of "beautiful" style characters there too. Definitely don't see many people running around outside in any of the gear I've seen in an MMO either.

Please stop, Lost Ark has nothing to do with final fantasy artystle... Lost Ark has a classical south korean "Manhwa" Artstyle! Mostly known from the artist "Hyung-Tae Kim" who works long for NCSoft. Thats a south korean artstyle, with long thin bodies with unrealistic idealized proportions.

Final Fantasy has two major artstyle, fairytale childish manga like in ff9 and realisitc proportion anime like in ff10 and ongoing. You cant say this, this game looks like final fantasy.. that is insulting to final fantsay and south korean Manhwa Art.

I don't want to play girl characters, i'm literally stuck with 7 class to choose from, more than than half of that i don't enjoy playing.

The developers have said that they will be making an opposite gender for each class eventually :). To answer your main question though. Lost Ark actually has a high demographic split of Male to Women player ratio and this was explained in LOA On. Our playerbase is around the 30% female gamers and 70% male.

I think part of this is that the characters are generally pretty and the cosmetics are 10/10 (the ones from Korea). My wife plays Lost Ark and one of the main attractions was the cute character design!

Lost ark also doesn't discriminate, both male and female sprites are just as attractive as one another.
