when do we get visually different armor?

i've gotten several upgrades but so far its just color changes. i really dont like the whole 'tshirt and booty shorts' look my female gunner has. when do i get pants? and yes, this is a serious question..

if we dont get different looking armor, why were there multiple outfits on the character selection screen? and the preview video for the character showed them wearing different clothes too. that makes no sense

Female Gunner and Male Martial Artist were late additions that don't get all the early visual upgrades all the other classes get. You'll be stuck with the look for a bit.

Alot of the cosmetic items are later rewards u get for stuff like rapport or so ive heard. You can also get them off the market.

Yep without giving away spoilers of the game story. I got one new piece, then a quest line or two later i finished the place i was in and got another style of outfit. I am playing a gunslinger and my gun styling has changed often though but the clothing seems to be less frequent.
