Re- use name after you delete a character

I'm pretty sure nobody sniped my name, but still it says already taken.

Anyone had this issue ?

If the character is lvl 10 , u can reuse the name, if its 11+ theres like a 60 days time b4 u can use that name.

I read somewhere that if your character is past level 10 (completed the tutorial) the name does not get released immediately. Otherwise it should be available immediately.

Edit: it won’t take 60 days like someone else said. It just means that Amazon has to release the character manually at some point.

Wrong. I made 3 charas and went thru the prologue to the first town and then switched servers to join the one my friend is on when it opened up for new character creation.

I was able to delete my characters and reuse the names on the new server with no problems.

Took about 2-5 minutes for a character I deleted (that was still in the prologue) to have the name available again. Entered the game with the wrong hair style... discovered you can't delete your first character until you wait 24 hours and switch another one to the main, so... it's still a pain to remake a toon if you mess up.

Wrong. I made 3 charas and went thru the prologue to the first town and then switched servers to join the one my friend is on when it opened up for new character creation.

I was able to delete my characters and reuse the names on the new server with no problems.

Yeah, i have deleted a few characters before i ever played them, and never been able to use the name, how odd that its random

That is not the case I had a character on avesta and deleted it tried making a character on galatur with same name and said name was taken

Same region. I'm waiting for my time to be up to use the original name I had from launch after switching servers in the same region. From what I've read (and it might be different now, down to 60 days) it takes 120 days to release the name for use. Again, I could be wrong on the time-frame. In another region where I play with other friends NA East) I'm able to use that name, but not on US West where I used it to begin with. So not only server, but region.
