so basicly yesterday i downloaded it for the first time but there was like an additional 70gb download after the download

before i went to bed i closed everything down i just woke up AND ITS GONE ive to redownload the entire game again wtf is this BS

The 70GB is not a download. It's Steam unpacking the game.

giving steam a higher priority in task manager helps loads

This game also messed up my SSD.

Had 120gb free space, Lost Ark takes 70gb~. WHILE playing the game Windows gave me a "Drive is nearly full" message. Looked and only had 68mb left on my drive.

I tried finding whatever caused that, didn't find anything. Deleted the game and now I only have 75gb available.

Steam downloads the compressed files into a temp folder, unpacks them, then removes the temp files. You need enough space for both. LostArk is 72.8GB on disk when everything is installed and all the temp files are deleted, and iirc the compressed files were 58.4GB? Totaling 131.2GB required. I'm guessing you still have the compressed files in a temp folder somewhere but the math doesn't add up. 120-58 is 62 not 75.
