PC Restart + BSOD

Hello!

I need some help. My game is suddenly triggering a BSOD and making my PC restart. From reading around, I've noticed it's a bit of a common problem so I've tried some of the most common solutions (In hopes of avoiding getting a new PSU, as this error is 100% specific to this game)

Tried chckdsk /p /f

Tried the workaround for the kernel error I get here:

Updated GPU drivers, disabled my windows defender.

Tried EasyCheat Repair tool

This PC runs other games in high/very high. RDR2, GTA V, FFXIV, CK3, etc.

Tried updating my BIOS (By far the most common solution that seems to work for others), however my problem is that the latest BIOS update that exists for me is this old one. I am not sure if this has something to do, but since other recent games run perfectly I dont think so or at least I hope not.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz

Memory: 16384MB RAM

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19044)

If anyone has any additional pointers or help, I would appreciate it. I am going nuts :(

Change settings to low first to see if it will run

not sure what cooling your using but you might need to pull fan and repaste cpu make sure everything is clean dust free and you can check 1 stick of ram at a time ... Pull gpu and make sure to clean it good ....

Hey all - Update:

Bought 2 new RAM sticks and now instead of crashing every 15 minutes, it crashes at most once per day. Definitely a hardware error. Thanks for all the help

Try resetting your bios to default and see if that helps. If you overclocked something wrong it be causing an issue with the game. Other games might not care but i have issues with my overclock with random games before and never really figured it out.

Also, make sure you aren't enabling the advanced folder and system protection features.

Yep. This game is game is hard crash rebooting my machine as well. Nothing else installed now does that. I've never seen a stable game with Easy Anti-Cheat.

got bsod 100 times per day, just end my ♥♥♥♥, this game is very bad for pcs.

Same ♥♥♥♥ keeps happening. Changed the PSU, changed the ram sticks. By now im thinking it's a game problem, since no other game gives me ♥♥♥♥.

I dont get bsod, but when i quit lost ark, steam still shows Lost Ark running, trying to kill process freezes pc instantly, cant turn off pc after that, have to hard reset every time. Was all fine, this problem started appearing 3 days ago. Still trying to find solutions.

Not sure what Valve games use it. But the only games I tried using EAC both crash constantly due to it. This and Outriders.

This game freezes my laptop. Video stays on screen, audio plays, device goes offline, have to hold the power button. No issues on Desktop, but I don't play on desktop as much.

It was EasyAntiCheat after all! Apparently, if you Overclock it crashes. This is my step-by-step on how I fixed this bs error.

If you have tried all the common fix, maybe EasyAntiCheat is the reason:
Using software to record screen (like OBS) or programs like AutoHotkey are recognized as “cheating” and can cause a crash.
If after removing the Overclock, the system is still showing a higher frequency, check your power options. When you select “High Performance” on your Windows power settings, the system automatically “overclocks” the CPU a bit within certain parameters. This still causes EasyAntiGarbage to say “Hey, it isnt 3.80ghz - CRASH”.
If it's the network issue causing the crash, you can try LagoFast. It's a game vpn that helps build a stable connection. It offers a free trial so you wont have to pay by just trying if this fixes this issue.
