Why can't you select the sex of your character?

I love magic characters so usually in RPG games I tend to select mages, sorcerers, warmages, necromancers, wizards and so on.

What I don't understand is why I can't get a male sorcerer, apparently you get sex bound classes, like the warrior or a gunner (besides gunslinger) is always a man and a mage or assassin is always a woman, why?
I know there are people that even if male tend to select female characters just because they love to stare at their boobs and asses on a monitor, but I don't care, I'm not a female so why should I be represented by a female character in game?
It is also quite lame the fact that they all wear high heels swaying their ass left and right,
What's this? Combat or a catwalk? Sexist much?

Why a player that wants to play a specific class is bound to a specific sex?
There should be freedom of choice in character creation disregarding the class.

It would be totally fair since apparently they have that kind of representation and idea of what a woman is over sexualizing them in every possible manner to the point of ridiculous in a game where what you do is fight, not hook up (in that case it would totally make sense).

I just like to build characters that resemble me as much as possible, because...well it's me playing.

They enjoy really bland play styles, it seems. The game is so shallow. Mobs that have zero AI and which cluster together like zombies, faceroll combat, weird character animations, stupid outfits... So many ponderous (and tedious!) cutscenes, quest dialogues you can safely skip because the game leads you around wherever you need to go... I prefer a challenging game, so as for Lost Ark I won't be playing any further.

I will never understand why so many players have problem with things like this. In some games you select sex in others you don't. It doesn't affect the gameplay.

And Role playing is not limited to what players choose but what developers choose for their game also.

But it should be "I choose a character that best represents myself From the characters available in this game" not "I want this give me this"
