Typical for Ryzen 7 5800x. It's bad model. Better is 5900x, no temps issues.

I have a Ryzen 9 5900x and I'm only get 60c with a 280mm rad as well. Sounds like you may need to remount your cooler (reapply thermal paste), and if that doesn't work, you may need to check if your rad is working properly.

I will check my gorgeous 5900X later...

That´s why im asking 5800x users, not 5900x.

5950x and 6900xt both run between 50 - 60c when running this game for hours. Custom water loop :)

5800X user here, sitting around 50c with a 280mm rad. Sounds like your thermal paste might be bad or bad pump or air bubble or something. The CPU is fine, its not really a hothead.

maybe limit fps?????
Dr. Atrocious Feb 12, 2022 @ 9:12am
You may have to force Vsync on and limit FPS to around 60-75. I was running hot over 100 FPS myself.

Using Fullscreen instead of Borderless helps as well.

5800x here no problems at all, did you fit the rad the right way up so air isn't being trapped?
