Disk Write Error

I'm not the only one having this issue and I've tried it with multiple computers. No i'm not disabling antivirus to download and install, I can't even begin to address the idiocy involved in that.

This isn't a client side issue it's definitely a steam side issue the download is broken, has been since launch. For over 14 hours I have had issues downloading the game, it pauses and stops the download at exactly 40.3gigs and applies a disk write error.

I tried clearing the cache, I've experimented with other games, this is a steam side issue.

Same. It's definitely Steam. I have:
- Disabled antivirus (back on now, dont worry)
- Run Steam as admin
- Deleted corrupted files
- Cleared download cache
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Steam

Still no luck. Probably have to wait for the game to die down before playing.

Try to change the Download Region you are downloading from via Settings -> Downloads.
However a Disk Write Error is a Client Error either with the Storage Device or the Permissions of the Storage Device.
When the Disk Write Error occurs please open the "Event Viewer" on your System and check for the Errors that occurred in the last Hour, maybe you find a hint there

when i had this issue the fix for me was to use steam to move the game to another drive, then move it back again if needed. If you dont have more than 1 drive with enough space sorry this wont help much.
