CPU Temperature Issues
Is it normal for my CPU to be hitting temperatures as high as 90 degrees Celsius when I play the game? The instant I hit "Play", temperatures are immediately high. Also, will these high temperatures affect my CPU's health in the future? I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RX 5600XT.

Not normal for a r5 3600 it’s only a 65watt. Chip. But you cannot damage your cpu don’t worry about it. The worst thing that will happen is it will thermal throttle the speed down to keep temps down but that doesn’t kick in until 100c. Most gaming laptops live on this 100c hard limit. I would recommend trying to dust your computer first. If you have an AIO water cooler get a can of compressed air and clean out the radiator and fans. Also if you use the stock cooler gett an aftermarket cooler for your cpu and put that on. Or if you have an aftermarket cpu cooler get some new thermal paste and clean the old stuff off your cpu and put new paste on. Plenty of videos about how to do that.

Try having an i7 11700k! Who needs a heater running when your CPU will heat an entire room better than the heater!

"An aftermarket cpu".. literally EVERY cpu is aftermarket lmfao... And no, 100c is not an accurate statement. My 5800x will thermal throttle itself at 90c.

No it's not normal for your CPU to be hitting that high. Yes the high temperature will degrade your CPU after awhile. Anything above 80 is not entirely good. I know Intel's CPU's can withstand 100C before it starts to throttle but I don't know about AMD. Sure the CPU can sit at 90 degrees and the degrading is not as bad as say 100C but the lifespan does take a hit.

Are you using an after market cooler? or stock? If it's stock, change that right away. Take a look at the thermal paste and see if it needs replacing. Arctic Silver 5 is good and so is Grizzly Kryonaut. Make sure the CPU cooler/block is properly seated on the CPU as well. Sometimes it can come loose.

My CPU hasn't hit above 55c so far on this game.

I have an i7-11700k.

My i9 10850K is staying under 50°c while playing using a AiO Water cooler. You might need to do a dust cleaning or to reseat your cooler OP.

I'm running cool right now, but on more CPU intensive games it can get toasty if im tryin to run it at full potato.

Well for games like Warzone it jumps up to maybe 65-68C for me. This is with turbo boost on as well.

I have 3 fans in the front, 1 in the back and an AIO on the top with 4 fans. Push/pull configuration. I also set the fan curve to:

40C - 40%
50C - 60%
60C - 80%
70C - 100%
